Stuff and Junk

Yup, "stuff and junk" because we have a hodge-podge of pics to share. After their wonderful honeymoon in Orlando, the newlyweds stopped in Texas for the weekend. We had a small open house here at home and everyone loved meeting the DeVinny's. A huge thank you to Emily Vance and Michele Scott for their help in decorating and making the evening a success. I love you guys! Then there are the obligatory first day of school photos, and some of Andrew's latest tests. Busy busy busy.....as always.

We had delicious punch and cupcakes for refreshments at the open house. We tried to keep Natalie's wedding colors in mind, so we had white icing with a teal "D" monogram on the cupcakes. Kinda fun.
The sign-in table decorated with white tule and candles, as well as photos of the bride and groom
Shane, Tanner, and Daniel. These guys have been friends since middle school. I have loved watching them grow up and become good men.

Friends at the reception. I totally forgot about taking pictures until the end, so there are many people we missed.

Look at my awesome FRESHMAN, Ben. First day of Sachse High School.
Erin starting 7th grade and Dallin starting 4th. Gotta love Dallin's face here. He is not a happy camper but tolerated the photo shoot.
Andrew, our world famous pitcher, has been battling pain in his shoulder. (yes the one he pitches with) The doctor ordered an arthogram and MRI. The radiologist put him in this treatment room and put a 4 foot needle into the space in his shoulder. He used live x rays to guide the needle. (maybe it wasn't quite 4 feet but it was close) They filled his shoulder with fluid and dye so they could see better on the MRI.
The MRI room was decorated like a south-sea island, and the machine was disguised as a grass hut. I loved it. They gave Andrew headphones to listen to music but he was still nervous, so the first 20 minutes of the 40 minute test had to be redone because he was breathing too hard and moved too much. Then they had him raise him arm over his head and did another 20 minute MRI test. Lovely. I think he glows in the dark now.
